The end of summer 2019 brought a new beginning in my career as I ventured over to the for-profit industry and joined a marketing agency known for their creative strategy. Beyond Definition (formerly Bates Creative) was going through a complete rebrand when I jumped aboard and that was one of the best possible projects to be working on because I learned the ins and outs of the company. Beyond Definition’s clients range from Smithsonian, George Mason University, Booz Allen Hamilton, Cisco, U.S. Army, YMCA, NPR, American Marketing Association, Atlas Brew Works, and numerous other nonprofits, foundations, and associations.
Utilizing my membership and trade association experience, I lead the inbound marketing strategy for the agency and help to direct the voice of the brand by crafting content for the website, blogs, emails, social media, advertising, and sponsorships to position Beyond Definition as a thought leader among mission-driven organizations. On top of generating content, I assisted in writing proposals for new business opportunities to increase revenue and grow client portfolio, directed the marketing conversion path and drove qualified leads for account team by converting website traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content. Additionally, I optimized the agency’s marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels and leads the persona development process to better target prospective clients.
