Marketing Intern
During the Summer before my final semester at James Madison University, I had an internship with a PR firm in Rockville, MD called Maier & Warner. Maier & Warner is an agency specializing in strategic corporate real estate public relations and marketing. I assisted with a number of projects at Maier & Warner, mostly pertaining to planning and executing events, drafting press releases, media monitoring, creating content for social media, developing e-blasts inviting political figures to groundbreakings, etc. A project that stuck out to me the most was a very important environmental campaign that was close to my heart. It involved a giant developing company that was aiming to build a new high-rise building on a park that was in my hometown of Bethesda, MD and my firm’s grassroots efforts to get the community to lobby against them. Additionally, I assisted in the copywriting for their new website, along with contributing in the overall management of a number of luxury developer accounts.
